Wool Is Dangerous

Well our plan of trying to update this blog at least once a fortnight is taking it's time because it's been over a month now; however it's better than not writing to you for nearly ten months.  Although we did make a video last week for the first time in thirty years!

Yarn Bombing and 'Dangerous Wool'

A group of knitters yarn bombed the Monument in Helmsley Market Place for Small Business Saturday.  However Helmsley Town Council requested that it should be taken down for fear that this could damage the monument.  This made many people concerned (particularly those of you on Twitter) about the dangers of wool.  Now we don't want you to worry about the dangers so we made this 'informative' health and safely video for you..

Have You Started Your Christmas Knitting Yet?

We've been neglecting this blog haven't we, more accurately we've been neglecting everything online.  Hopefully if our technology lambs can get their act together we can keep this thing up-to-date.  Since it's been a while we'd better let you know what's been going on.

First things first we are now stocking Gutterman thread (which you can see on the right).  Also our lambs have been working away at creating a brand new website which you can find at www.castlestores.net; so if you want to take a look at just some of the yarn we have, plus if you want to know more about us then feel free to take a look at that.

Well no matter how much we say how fast it has come round, you can't deny that Christmas is on it's way; and if you haven't started your Christmas knitting then now may be a good time to start.  This week we have had a delivery of yarn which is ideal for your Christmas knitting, one of which is King Cole Glitz D.K. (left).  We have had a lot more which we will share with you soon.

So it's been a while

Hello again, it's been a while hasn't it; about eight months to be precise since we last updated you here.  So you may be thinking that we have abandoned the internet, but we have come back to you now and we will hopefully post things at least more often than eight months apart.

So here's wishing you a belated Happy New Year and we will write again soon (and a lot more than 2013).
